Dear Y6 students,
Welcome to Shire Oak Academy.
I hope you are all safe and well. Due to the Covid restrictions, we haven’t been able to do our usual Induction Days but hopefully we’ll get to see some of you at our Summer School. You are part of the Shire Oak Academy family now and we’re looking forward to seeing all of you when you start in September.
In the coming weeks key information will be posted on this website and we will update you and your family with more details. Please do not worry, we will do our very best to make this as smooth as possible for you in these difficult circumstances.

Updates
All year 7 students should arrive at 8.30am for an 8.40am start. They will be directed to the playground where they will be met by their form tutors and taken to their form rooms. They will spend the day with their form tutors undertaking activities designed to help them settle into life at Shire Oak Academy. Lunch will be at 12.25 and students should bring money with them to put on their accounts once finger scanning has been completed. £3 should be sufficient. Students on free school meals will be provided for. The day will end at 3pm and students can be collected from the St Marks Road gate, or they can make their own way home.
This will take place on Monday 12th July from 3:30 to 6pm, and will be held virtually. The site will be live for bookings on Monday 5th July at 9am. You can book a 5 minute video call appointment with your child’s form tutor
